Relay's Panic Feature

1. Talk Button

Press and hold to speak with other Relays in your group.

2. Relay Assistant

Quick press to cycle through available groups on the device.

Press and hold to say a command for the Relay Assistant.

3. Volume Buttons (+ and -) 

Hold volume + for three seconds to power on the device, hold for five seconds to power off.

Press volume + or - to increase or decrease volume - the LED lights will show the current volume level.

Need Help?

Get started with Relay+ to be used for your team communications and panic alerts. Follow along as you get to know your devices and features better. 

Panic Alert

1. Rapid-press the talk button at least five times to initiate a panic alert.

  • NOTE: You will get a confirmation message saying "Panic Alert Sent"

2. The panic alert will be sent to a designated team of panic responders, who will receive the current location of the team member.

  • NOTE: The designated team of panic responders is determined by each customer.

3. The device that initiated the panic will automatically be put into a panic mode. Depending on the customer's configuration, the device that initiated the panic can communicate with the panic responders until the issue is resolved. 

4. Once resolved, the alert will clear and all Relays will receive a notification that "The panic alert has been resolved."

Basic Troubleshooting

If you experience an issue with Relay, try these basic troubleshooting steps first.

Report a Problem

Hold down the volume down (-) and talk button at the same time for 5 seconds. The Relay will announce that it is entering into diagnostics mode and to press the talk button and record the issue to the Relay device. 

Escalate to your Supervisor

Discuss issues with your supervisor to then open a support ticket with Relay. Please include the name of the device, what the action you took was, what the outcome was, and approximate time that the issue occurred.
