Press and hold to speak with other Relays in your group.
2. Relay Assistant
Quick press to cycle through available groups on the device.
Press and hold to say a command for the Relay Assistant.
3. Volume Buttons (+ and -)Â
Hold volume + for three seconds to power on the device, hold for five seconds to power off.
Press volume + or - to increase or decrease volume - the LED lights will show the current volume level.

Get started with Relay+ to be used for your team communication. Follow along as you get to know your devices and features better.Â
Place a Call
Press and hold the Relay Assistant button and say "Call [device name]."
- NOTE: This creates a temporary private channel between two users for direct communication.Â
Answer a Call
The user receiving the call will hear the caller's name, followed by a beep signaling the call has begun.Â
- NOTE: Once in the private channel, users can press the Talk button to send messages, just like normal communications.
End a Call
After 10 seconds of inactivity from either user, both users will hear a beep, signaling the call has automatically ended.Â
- NOTE: The devices will then return to their previous channel.Â
Basic Troubleshooting
If you experience an issue with Relay, try these basic troubleshooting steps first.
Report a Problem
Hold down the volume down (-) and talk button at the same time for 5 seconds. The Relay will announce that it is entering into diagnostics mode and to press the talk button and record the issue to the Relay device.Â
Escalate to your Supervisor
Discuss issues with your supervisor to then open a support ticket with Relay. Please include the name of the device, what the action you took was, what the outcome was, and approximate time that the issue occurred.

Relay should be worn at all times to be able to actively communicate to team members.

Send a Message
Press and hold the Talk button and say your message. Release the button when finished.
- NOTE: The message will be received by all of the other Relays currently in that group chat.
Changing Groups
Tap the Relay Assistant button to cycle through all of the available group chats on that device.
Home Channel
The chat where the majority of your communication will take place.Â
If enabled, your Relay device will automatically switch back to your Home Channel after 60 seconds of inactivity in another group chat.
This ensures that you are not missing any messages in your primary group chat.
